Bogdan Nedelcu

CEO & Founder

Bogdan Nedelcu is the founder of Intelligent Locations and the creator of INTRAX™, a real-time platform that combines sophisticated location-based technology with the power of AI to deliver actionable intelligence to healthcare. Prior to starting Intelligent Locations, Bogdan led product development and delivery creating industry-first products and platforms in mobile wireless, telecom, consumer electronics, automotive electronics and IT sectors. Bogdan is known for building disruptive technologies and leading organizations and teams for Fortune 100 businesses and startups for more than 20 years. As an experienced tech innovator, Bogdan holds ten US patents and has one additional patent currently pending.

A native of Romania who was raised in France, Bogdan speaks several languages and has traveled extensively globally. He professionally played team handball in France and has a passion for soccer and football. Bogdan holds an MS in Physics from Pierre and Marie Curie University in Paris.

Jake Bartnicki

Senior VP, Sales

Jake Bartnicki leads sales, marketing, and business development for Intelligent Locations. Throughout his career, Jake’s focus has been healthcare technology. Prior to joining Intelligent Locations, Jake led sales and marketing for a tech company helping healthcare providers collect and aggregate data, increase physician efficiency and improve patient outcomes. Jake achieved aggressive sales growth year-over-year and built a strong brand within the orthopedic outcomes management community. He also led sales and operations across a large territory for a leading medical device manufacturer.

An avid baseball fan early on, Jake was a member of the Brew Crew promotions team for the Milwaukee Brewers. He received a BA in Business Marketing from Saint Louis University.

Mark Smeadala

VP, Finance & Sales Operations

As Intelligent Locations’ Vice President of Finance & Sales Operations, Mark Smeadala is a product launch veteran for companies introducing new Bluetooth product categories including fitness trackers, productivity tools, and location devices. He’s led planning, strategy, manufacturing and marketing efforts in high-growth enterprises introducing new consumer electronics, wireless and Internet of Things technologies. As Director of Business Operations for a consumer electronics company, Mark led a multi-country strategy to support an IoT start-up that contributed to more than doubling the business to surpass $100 million within the first year.

A native of Niagara Falls, NY, Mark has worked and lived in the US, Canada, England and China and is an avid foodie and traveler. Mark holds an MBA in Finance from Canisius College in New York.

Claudiu Cristian

Claudiu Cristian joined Intelligent Locations to develop and improve the INTRAX™ platform architecture, add new features, conduct third-party integrations and partnerships. He helped create the services arm in the early days of Intelligent Locations. Claudiu has nearly 20 years experience in Software Development and has worked a decade in Distributed Systems Architecture, low latency high throughput systems. He’s worked and collaborated with companies like IBM in Romania, Sweden and Finland.

A native of Romania, Claudiu enjoys a range of sports beyond technology. He received his degree in Statistical Cybernetics and Economic Informatics from the University of Bucharest.

Lori Johnson-Payton

VP, Operations

Lori Johnson-Payton is the Vice President of Operations for Intelligent Locations. She is a detailed-oriented, data-driven operations professional with over 15 years of experience in defining, planning, tracking, and managing projects as a global team leader in fast-paced environments. Lori has managed cross-functional teams, overseen budgets of over $300 million, and delivered cost-effective high-performance technology solutions to meet challenging business demands, while understanding the market, competition, and customers.

As an avid traveler, Lori best enjoys cruising through the Caribbean. She has a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia and holds a certification in Project Management Professional (PMP).

Erika Abrahamsson

Director, Business Development & Partnerships

Erika Abrahamsson manages Intelligent Locations’ business development operations, partnership outreach, and marketing efforts. Her professional career spans over 15 years in senior-level sales, marketing, branding, product management, and building strategic partnerships across North America and Europe. Prior to joining Intelligent Locations, Erika increased revenues and helped support the successful acquisition of a software startup delivering an innovative seismic processing solution to the energy industry. She led the Multi-Client strategy in Mexico for a Norwegian-based supplier of marine geophysical services and worked with a leading upstream oil and gas software provider in addition to GE.

Originally a Texas native with Swedish-Mexican roots, Erika is passionate about food, travel, fitness, and giving back by mentoring college students. Erika received her BA from Harvard University in 2003.
